How can I get my index or home page to load automatically?

In order to get a page to load automatically when someone goes to www.yourdomain.com, you must place a file with one of the following names in your htdocs/ folder:

index.html
index.htm

This list also shows the order of precedence for index pages —a file named “index.html" would load in favor of a file named “index.htm”. You should also note that the file name must be all lowercase — a file with an uppercase name (“INDEX.HTM” or “Index.html”) will not be recognized as a home page.
